Description of the guitar

Guitar

The guitar has two main parts: the body and handle.

In the body, also called harmonic or resonance box is located the bridge where you tie one end of each string.

Close to the body is the neck, where is located the fretboard, which is a flat wood divided for 19 metal bars called frets. They are what determine the height of the sound when the strings are pressed with the fingers of the left hand.

The end of the neck ends in a palette with the pegs, whose function is to stretch the strings to tune the guitar.

Between the palette and the handle is the nut, which is a piece of bone with six slots to support the strings.

In the body, where the fretboard finish, there is a circular opening, the mouth of the guitar or sound hole, where the sound comes out.
