Basic notions

Scope and purpose of the course.

This is a very basic way to learn to accompany songs on the guitar. It is assumed that those who follow these lessons never they played a guitar, and knows nothing about music. Those with some knowledge can skip all that considered already known.

The purpose of this course is to facilitate learning the guitar, so noble an instrument that can be played by a virtuoso, or "scratched" for a beginner, providing in both cases a great joy in doing so. Easy to carry anywhere, always it is a companion for the musician and a source of entertainment to liven up meetings, when not to give a serenade.

What does it take to learn to play an instrument? I believe that we first need to have a musical ear, ie be able to sing or whistle a certain melody. And this applies even if you are a little out of tune, because when you run the melody on guitar, if it is properly tuned it will give the right notes. In this case it is to learn a few chords to accompany a melody performed by another musician or singer or the song itself.

It is not necessary to know read sheet music. In the section Song lyrics there are lyrics with chords, in which the chords are indicated under the syllable where they should start to play. So while you read the lyrics of the song also you will read chords.

There are issues that may be associated with only two chords, alternating while it develops the melody. This means that when I can successfully run those chords and strumming that corresponds to this theme, you will be able to accompany him wherever able to make timely the positions change. Therefore it is convenient start with pieces relatively slow, such as the zamba.

If you do not have a guitar and wants to buy it, first I will give some advice about it. Then describes the parts of a guitar, how to take it, how to tune (including a table of tuning the sound for each string), the function of each hand to execute this instrument, and how to use capotraste or transport. As I said before, if you already know these things, you can go to other sections.
