Tutorial - 1. The first chords

Argentine folk songs accompanied with guitar

In this lesson there are very three chords easy to learn: A minor, E7, and D minor. The three are the scale tone of A minor, where A minor (Am) is the tone, E7 (E7) is the dominant, and D minor (Dm) is the cadence.

A general rule says that the accompaniment of a song begins with the tone, goes to dominant, go back to tone, pass to cadence, returns to the tone, goes to dominant, and ends with the tone. While many times this rule is not enforced, it should be taken into account as a guide to accompany.

Once you can perform these three chords without thinking, ie the fingers put on the strings automatically, should begin to switch from one chord to another, from Am to E7 and vice versa. Verify that all the strings sound good, they should not sound deficient or be mute. The sound must be "clean."

To start can make a simple strumming, plucking all the strings with the thumb down, marking the beats. Remember not to pause to change positions, because would disturb the rhythm.

Once you perform this properly, add the third chord, D minor. You will realize that takes less time than that used for the other two. That is because the practice is working.
